The staid and wealthy William Bentley has turned the operations of his business over to his son. He leaves to board a cruise ship in Barcelona, Spain that will cruise along the French Riviera to Rome, Italy. During a three-hour layover in Amsterdam, he encounters the beautiful, Helen Maxwell, who has become lost and disoriented while trying to locate her boarding gate in the large airport. His vacation has barely gotten underway but this chance encounter with this “kind of dumb, but kind of smart” woman will up-end all of his vacation plans.
