The staid and wealthy William Bentley has turned the operation of his business over to his son and leaves to board a cruise liner in Barcelona, Spain, which will cruise along the French Riviera to Rome, Italy. During a three-hour layover in Amsterdam, he encounters the beautiful, Helen Maxwell, who has become lost and disoriented while trying to locate her boarding gate in the large airport. She is lost.
